I recount this list to prove to my naysayers that I am right. My gynecologist is the only doctor who has believed me. When she looked at all my symptoms she said “heck ya you might be hypothyroid!” Even though my TSH and other levels are normal, there has been a change in them in the past 6 months. And most importantly, I FEEL CRAPPY!!!!!! So on Monday we will discuss the possibility of me going on a dose of Synthroid. Which is all I wanted. Someone to listen to me and suggest the idea of trying Synthroid. Maybe it won’t work, but I wanted someone to at least TRY. And do you know why she listened to me? Because she believes in looking at a patient’s symptoms, NOT the lab tests, which is all I’ve ever wanted anyone to do.
I feel vindicated! Sort of.

I’ve said you were hypothyroid all along. I have it and your symptoms are very similar to mine, although mine are less severe, probably because mine was discovered and treated much earlier. Bet you are right!
I’m glad you found someone willing to listen.
Wow, that’s alot of tests
, my youngest has had quite of few of them himself, I know there no fun!
It’s good you’ve got someone who is listening now!!

gee i should have gone to your doctor from the beginning!
thanks mami
thanks jamie!
I think that was your top suspicion, wasn’t it? Yay for the cool doctor!
My mom wasn’t keen on the synthroid route and instead went “off plan” for Armour natural thyroid. . . which I think she now has to order. Anyway, I’m sure she’d answer any questions you have if you want. Let me know if you want her e-mail or phone or whatever. I hope this is the start of getting you on the road to wellness!
I have an appt with a (holistic) nutritionist this week. I’m at my wits’ end.

Yes, Kake, that was my top and ONLY suspicion! I am not convinced Synthroid is right for me, but at least it’s a start!
