The Summer of Babies

It’s Summer time and that means a new crop of babies.  Of course, I still get some of the “old” babies too, but some of the new baby names are just as interesting as the old baby names. Here they are in no particular order:

  •
  • Anya, a chubby cheeked cutie
  •          Race, neat huh?
  •          Silas, different!
  •          Dylan, in fact we have two Dylans
  •          Ryan, always a favorite, we have several
  •          Audrey, don’t let her small size fool you, she’s a pistol
  •          Evelyn, who hates us
  •          Liam, a little guy
  •          Wes, likes the boob
  •          Carter (boy), our newbie
  •          Will, in fact we have two of them
  •          Lucy, short for Lucinda
  •          Parker, always sweet
  •          Kelly, a cute little guy
  •          Sophia, whom I’ve had since she was born
  •          Graham, our second with this name
  •          Abby, short for Abigail
  •          Luke, who carries his blanket EVERYWHERE
  •          Hunter, love that name
  •          Maddie, queen of the swaddled

As you can see, quite an interesting collection of names. Many of them, unfortunately, are given pet names by the other staff and me; Dylan becomes Dill or Dilly, Ryan becomes Ry Ry or Rye Pie, Graham becomes Graham Cracker, Parker becomes Parky (but don’t tell his mom, she HATES that nickname), Anya is Lady Anya, Abby is called Abbygirl, and Will is sometimes called Little Bill.

But most importantly, I love them ALL.

Regarding Queen of Everything

Her highness is an educator librarian who is drawn to the little ones. In her purse you’ll find a cup of coffee, a book, and her iPhone. She loves social media, writing book reviews, and curating children’s literature. She is an information specialist, maven, connector. and still queen of planet blortnick
