Day Four–Friday

So Friday is homecoming day! Lots of activity in my head as I am relieved to be going home! All the paperwork’s completed and I get dressed. I say goodbye to my dear roomie and my cna wheels me downstairs. I’ve never been in a wheelchair before and it feels strange. The weather has been crummy all week and this day is no different. It’s cold and rainy but I’m prepared and don’t care!

The ride home was bumpy and slighlty uncomfortable. The sidewalk was icy but it felt good to be at my own place. DH had to run and get my prescriptions while I waited for mom to arrive. Dr. Feelgood (Bailey, my beloved pooch) was VERY glad to see me and didnt leave my side while I waited. Once Mom arrived, she helped me upstairs (a very big no no but that’s where my room is) and into bed. The rest of the evening is a blur with the kids being glad to see me home and people fluttering about the house cooking, dosing meds, and generally doing at home things (which I was CLEARLY missing). I wanted to be downstairs. Fortunately the meds kept me from doing anything more than texting (not sure how brilliantly worded they were) and watching the boob tube.

Regarding Queen of Everything

Her highness is an educator librarian who is drawn to the little ones. In her purse you’ll find a cup of coffee, a book, and her iPhone. She loves social media, writing book reviews, and curating children’s literature. She is an information specialist, maven, connector. and still queen of planet blortnick
