So Saturday brings day one at home. I am very excited to be at home and to take a shower! DH helps me dress and I haul my cookies downstairs because I want to be in the center of the activity. The day was VERY long but I was very happy because I got to be with all the action: people talking, cooking, tv watching, dog barking, kids fighting, etc.; it was great!
Dinner time was an early Christmas dinner. Mom worked all day in the kitchen and prepared ham, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, broccoli and carrots and rolls. My eyes, however, were bigger than my stomach and I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted. I tried. As a result I had a NASTY upset stomach. Swelly Bely had also kicked in and I felt awful. After a little rest on the couch, I retired early. That’s what I get for trying to do too much. In bed I curl up with a pillow between my legs and drift off to sleep.
